How I can help with your baby

My expertise encompasses a wide range of essential topics, including newborn care, feeding, sleep routines, infant development, and age-appropriate activities, all delivered through virtual demonstrations and guidance. I also address postpartum recovery and self-care, offering insights into nutrition, exercise, and emotional well-being tailored to this phase of parenting. For those focused on breastfeeding, I provide virtual support, addressing common concerns and sharing techniques to establish a positive nursing experience. I also can help with transitions to bottle feeding and introducing formula. Sleep strategies are offered to promote healthy sleep patterns for both the baby and parents, considering the unique sleep needs of newborns and infants up to 4 months old. Additionally, I offer practical advice for managing household tasks, meal planning, and daily routines, easing the transition into parenthood. Parents are educated about infant development, milestones, and essential parenting skills through virtual resources and evidence-based information. I facilitate virtual connections to local experts, parenting support groups, and wellness services, ensuring parents have access to valuable resources throughout the initial phases of their baby's development.

Baby Care Skills:

  • Essential baby care skills, including comforting techniques, bathing, diapering (both cloth and disposable), swaddling, etc

  • Various feeding methods, breast/chest, bottle, and introducing solids, including baby-led weaning

  • Education on normal infant behavior in each age and stage of the first year.

Parenting Support:

  • Establishing boundaries with self, partner, family, friends and the outside world

  • Transitioning into parenthood and all the changes that come along with it

  • Practical household mangement like providing ideas for organizing home and baby care systems for efficiency

  • Managing and reframing expectations for parenting, postpartum and infant care

Specialized Expertise:

  • GETTING YOU MORE SLEEP - Infant and maternal sleep consulting

  • Addressing issues such as fussy babies, colic, reflux, lip and tongue ties and recognizing allergy and skin-related concerns

  • Parenting while being neurodiverse and parenting children who are neurodiverse - ADHD, Autism

  • Multiples (twins)

  • Using a holistic approach by integrating alternative modalities like naturopathic and herbal medicine, essential oils and various therapies such as massage, chiropractic, craniosacral, occupational, pelvic floor and myofacial.

What you’ll experience:

  • Extend a compassionate and attentive presence via video calls, ensuring that new parents feel heard and supported during their early parenting journey.

  • Provide expert advice on infant care, including feeding, comforting techniques, bathing, diapering (both cloth and disposable), swaddling, and creating solid age appropriate sleep foundations and activities, all through virtual demonstrations and guidance.

  • Advise on postpartum self-care, nutrition, and emotional well-being, delivering personalized strategies for parents to thrive during the postpartum period.

  • If applicable, provide remote assistance with nursing techniques and troubleshoot common concerns to establish a positive nursing experience. I also provide help with supplementing, transitioning to bottle feeding and introducing formula.

  • Offer guidance on promoting healthy sleep patterns, strategies and support for both baby and parents. Virtual demonstrations are often used.

  • Provide practical advice on managing household tasks like cleaning, meal planning, and balancing daily responsibilities while caring for a newborn and supporting your postpartum recovery.

  • Utilize video resources and evidence-based information to educate parents about infant development, postpartum recovery, and essential parenting skills.

  • Provide recommendations and virtual connections to lactation consultants, support groups, and wellness services to ensure parents can access essential resources from the comfort of their home.
