These are two of my greatest teachers as a #postpartumdoula. My first taught me about tongue tie, a NICU stay, pumping, milk storage, mastitis, tongue tie revision, the aftercare and stretches, more mastitis, postpartum anxiety and depression, sleep schedules, sleep regressions, teething, baby led weaning, food allergies, autoimmune disorders and sooo much more.

My second taught me patience, the beauty of being steady, holding space, and letting go, another tongue tie, revision and aftercare, letting go of nursing and embracing the world of exclusive pumping, vaccine injuries, recognizing personality differences and how to parent each child in their own special way.

Being a doula means so much more than my book smart and countless courses, articles and hours spent with families and their babies. Being a mom myself who had these AMAZING teachers to show me all the difficult things motherhood can bring has been the hardest, most rewarding and best learning experiences I could have hoped for to bring to clients. No matter what you’re going through, you are not alone.
