Tears Foundation

I recently had the pleasure of meeting and touring the Tears Foundation in Puyallup. This is the ONLY location in Washington and not only are they there to help support families after miscarriage and loss but they are committed to preventing SUIDS, Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (previously known as SIDS or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Here's the cool part: They provide EVERY expecting family with education on evidence based safe sleep habits as well as a baby box, sleep sack and many other goodies!! I was truly impressed with the space they created to comfort families and support them after loss but also provide expecting families with real education and resources as they enter into parenthood.

Here are some upcoming events:

Business is booming!

It's so exciting to report that after a short dry spell, client inquiries are WAY up! I am having to refer lots of families out to other qualified doulas. It has been hard to shuffle families around to make sure everyone has the support they need! This is making me think about creating a new part of my business to include a referral service. It would both benefit doulas AND families. There's a HUGE gap in the market to connect families to qualified postpartum doulas in the Tacoma and surrounding areas. Would this be something you would benefit from? Please comment below if you are a doula or family and how/why this would interest or not interest you!
